Golmaal Again movie review: Ajay Devgn offers a laugh riot this Diwali
Golmaal Again movie review: Ajay Devgn, Tusshar Kapoor, Arshad Warsi, Kunal Kemmu are back with a new addition to Rohit Shetty’s popular franchise and this time, they have brought along Parineeti Chopra and Tabu.
It has been 11 years since Rohit Shetty first introduced fans to Golmaal characters. Madhav and Gopal are back to tickle your funny bone with Golmaal Again.
Starting Parineeti Chopra, Ajay Devgn, Tusshar Kapoor, Arshad Warsi, Kunal Kemmu and Tabu, the film is a horror comedy, with a heavier dose of the latter.
Given the nostalgic value of the film series and the stardom of the main cast, Golmaal Again is expected to touch the right chords.
With three hit films to add to the collection, Golmaal has become a popular franchise. The name has become synonymous with three hours of ultimate entertainment and funny sequences for the audience. And even though Rohit Shetty’s comedy is known to be of the nonsensical kind, sometimes fans just need a break from the weighty content-driven films and Golmaal Again is here to provide just that.
In its run of over a decade, Golmaal has also been able to establish some recurring characters that have become memorable for the fans like Vasuli Bhai (Mukesh Tiwari), Babli Bhai (Sanjay Mishra) and Vrajesh Hirjee as Pandurang. Even Tusshar Kapoor’s deaf and dumb Lucky Gill is one role that audiences have begun to love on screen.
One thing that differentiates Golmaal Again from the rest of the bunch is the spooky undertone that Rohit Shetty has added to this sequel. With ghosts and exorcism in the mix, one thing that especially caught our eye in the trailer was Tusshar Kapoor getting his voice for the first time ever in the series because of an evil possession.
Apart from the old bandwagon of actors, two new stars added to the list in Golmaal Again are Parineeti Chopra and Tabu. And seeing their excellent acting repertoire, we are sure they are going to spill magic on screen this time too.
Hitting the theaters on October 20, Golmaal Again looks like a promising blend of the quintessential over-the-top Ajay Devgn action and slapstick comedy.
